Orlando Christadelphian Ecclesia

Statement of Fellowship
November 1st, 2009

The Orlando Ecclesia's basis of fellowship since the inception of the ecclesia in 1904 has been exclusively the principles of the Gospel as expressed in the Unamended Statement of Faith, and we welcome those who believe and adhere to those doctrines and commandments stated therein.

The Orlando Ecclesia does not recognize the BASF, the CGAF, the NASU "bridging document" or any other bridging documents.  We invite those who share our convictions to partake with us at the memorial table (Amos 3:3; Philippians 2:2; 2nd Timothy 3:14).

In addition, certain theories have been publicized in books, periodicals and on the internet over the past several years.  We, in all good conscience, cannot fellowship the following suppositions, because we believe they are subversive to fundamental principles of the Truth (2nd Thessalonians 3:6; 1st Timothy 5:22; 2nd Timothy 4:3-4; 2nd Timothy 2:14-16):

  1. That immortality and eternal life are not equivalent terms, and that the phrase "eternal life" (Gr. zoe aionios) can be considered as a present possession in either a "spiritual" or "legal" sense for those in Christ.
  2. That the Kingdom of God is currently established in heaven and that baptized believers are in or make up a spiritual Kingdom now by virtue of being in Christ.
  3. That Jesus holds the office of King now.
  4. That it is not necessary to pray "in Jesus Name".
  5. That all that has been done for us in the way of salvation occurs at baptism.
  6. That God communicates to believers (and non-believers) in the present age through dreams.
  7. Interpretations of the Apocalypse which radically depart from the Continuous Historical method of interpretation (Examples: Preterism and Futurism).

While the above is not a comprehensive list of every doctrinal error that may exist amongst Christadelphians, we believe the above list of suppositions has caused much turmoil in recent years within the Unamended community (Romans 16:17).  We therefore invite fellowship with likeminded individuals and ecclesias who, like us, reject these errors and hold fast to the Truth of the Bible as outlined in the Unamended Statement of Faith (Romans 15:5; Philippians 2:2; 1st Corinthians 1:10).

Please speak directly to a member of our serving brethren if you have questions or concerns about this information (1st Corinthians 14:40).

In the Hope of Israel,

THE ORLANDO ECCLESIA
